All You Need to Know About Asus’ 2021 Laptop Lineup

Asus just announced its laptop line for 2021, which includes two dual-screen ZenBooks Duo laptops. For the uninitiated, the Asus ZenBook Duo line comes with a primary screen as well as a secondary screen, that is built into the keyboard deck. The secondary screen is big enough to load distractions so that one can keep them out of the main workspace. Although the 15-inch model will only be available in April of this year one can pre-order the 14-incher for just $999.99. The preorder will start from January 14th, and Asus is expected to release a new ExpertBook and Vivobook for consumers who prefer light and portable purchases.

There are also reports that Asus will launch the 14-inch ZenBook Pro Duo model which will be a sequel to the one that came out last year. Since this model has been verified through Intel’s Evo program, one need not worry, about its battery life, performance, and other features. Both the Duos are also getting a spec bump: Pro Duo 15 OLED will now have Intel’s 10th Gen processors, up to a Core i9. It will also get Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3070 mobile GPU. While the Pro Duo 14 will come with Intel’s 11th Gen processors.

Asus has also made several design changes which include a tilt to the ScreenPad Plus upward. It will improve the reading experience on the secondary screen and users won’t have to crane their neck over the keyboard. The fans are also much smaller now, while ScreenPad’s software is updated to make multitasking easier. Now, there is an additional Window Flick feature which allows user to flick windows from one to the other with ease.

Asus has also come with a new Evo-certified VivoBook S14. It is lighter than all the previous models at just 2.87 pounds. The S14 now comes with Intel’s 11th Gen processors and Xe graphics. The battery life has been improved significantly and now lasts up to 17 hours. There’s also a regular version of the VivoBook 14 which is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 5000 U-Series mobile processor. The pricing of the models is yet to be announced but both of them will come to North America in February.

The ExpertBook lineup has also been updated by Asus and now it comes with Intel’s latest 11th Gen vPro processors. According to Asus, the 14-inch 1.94-pound business laptop is the lightest of its kind in the world. There are also several software updates to the ExpertBook that will make conference call much easier that includes two-way AI noise-canceling. It will also have support for Wi-Fi 6 and Harman Kardon-certified speakers. The pricing for the ExpertBook is yet to be announced and it is expected to launch in Qi 2021.
